History of Science Society - The History of Science Society (HSS) is the primary professional society for the academic study of the history of science, founded in 1924 by George Sarton. They have over 3,000 members worldwide, and publish the quarterly journal Isis as well as the yearly Osiris, and have a well-attended yearly conference.
